I was captivated from start to finish, and couldn’t wait to see what was up next for these two stubborn people. For the handsome Duke has decreed, when he wins, she dard spend the night in his bed. I expected so much from this, especially since I love the whole “kick-ass heroine challenges the hero” premise, but boy, did it suck in its execution.

Caitlin feels her father had no right to use the house as a marker—it belonged to her mother and, when her mother died, it passed to Caitlin. This is especially true considering what a cad her brobwen is. The story worked well with the length, about half the length of a full length novel, and I didn’t feel like the romance was rushed.


Enjoyed the book so much. Both characters were great. This story is well-written, gotta love dukke smooth read. The main issue I have with the story is the inconsistency in the characters.
